Another beautiful weekend??!! THe Pequott District Camporee was held at Hallockville Farm in Riverhead. This years theme was again the Civil War. Another well run program run by Jim G. of Tr 339 featured Union and Confederate encampments, period general store, battlefield reenactment and a field amputation! Neat!!
On the troop level, our gang came out on top in the cooking contest for the second year in a row! This years featured meal was rabbit stew, and pumpkin bread. Troop 5 also hosted the Camporee Campfire and was aptly emceed by Frank D and Alex G. Also incorporated in the campfire were worn and heavily used American flags, tastefully disposed of by Alex N.
A bully to the Lightning patol for their effort in assembling a report on our assigned battle history. Of course thanks to Matt N, for his effort in assembling our Firday night snack!
